Jaya He is offering a plethora of experiences to further elevate your airport experience at the Terminal 2 (T2) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), Mumbai.

Jaya He Audio Guide

CSMIA is pleased to announce the launch of Jaya He Audio Guide App. The app is an audio-visual guide for exploring the art treasure of Jaya He New Museum at the departure terminals of Terminal 2 of CSMIA. The app has been developed by HopOn India, a young start-up.

The guide enables the user to listen in to fascinating tales about the artifacts including the effort that went in to create the museum in a busy public place like the airport. The app is available on both the Google Playstore and the Apple Appstore. To listen in to the narrations, users need to download the app and navigate the content using the numbers mentioned on the signage in front of the artefact. A web version of the app is also available and can be accessed by scanning the QR code on the signage . The Jaya He New Museum guides are free for all users. This path breaking initiative can be perceived as another milestone by this one-of-a-kind design led program in attempting to reposition the Arts and Crafts of India in the public domain. This effort of democratization of the stories behind the time-honoured craftsmanship in this museum is actually quite unprecedented not only in India, but across airports all over the world.

The app narrations -- a rich mix of images, videos and voice -- are meant to enhance the viewing experience of the visitors. App enables the users to listen in to the narrations offline even with their phones on airplane mode. Visitors can also use the app as audio guides, on payment of fee, while visiting key cities in India including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Varanasi, Aurangabad, Leh and Jaipur.

Jaya He Carnival

Jaya He New Museum, strategically placed in a busy infra-structure project like an airport at T2, Mumbai, with almost 48million passengers going through it annually, takes this opportunity to become the agent of change, to become a cultural hub where diverse communities converge at a single point to converse and exchange over art, culture and heritage.

All the events planned will be to explore the diversity each region has to offer in its History, Art, Culture, Food and its People.

While travellers get to Explore, Entertain, Engage and Experience the essence of the state with many programs and exhibitions, it will also give an opportunity for untold stories to unfold. It then will resonate with the objective of International Museum Day: To raise awareness of the fact that museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among people.

This can become a small step towards changing the intimidating perception of a museum to a platform for one and all.
